Though the Sherpa Cart is not recommended for use in rocky or steep terrain, there are many areas where it will be greatly preferred to carrying one's own equipment.

The wide handle bar can be comfortably pulled or pushed. The independent,
quick-release wheels can be placed in a wide or narrow wheel stance depending
on terrain and trail width. With the wide, extended handle bars and the wheels in
the inside narrow wheel position, the Sherpa Cart can effectively travel on narrow
trails or through tight spots, maneuvering around obstacles in the countryside.
Changing to a wide wheel stance, the cart becomes more stabile for moving a load. This works well in smoother, more spacious areas such as dirt roads or open fields.
